Michel Linssen started his career as a rock photographer in the early eighties. He worked for Dutch magazines such as 'Muziekkrant Oor', 'Popfoto/Muziekexpres' and 'Hitkrant'. For the Dutch daily newspaper 'De Telegraaf' he made photos of hundreds of rock concerts and for the Dutch edition of 'Playboy' Linssen was responsible for the photos that were published in the series 'The world according to…'. His photos were also published on the covers of Jan Douwe Kroeskes '2 Meter sessies' and on the covers of Dutch cult group 'Hallo Venray'. During the '2 Meter sessies' in 1992, a series of acoustic concerts for Dutch radio and television, Linssen photographed Kurt Cobain. The amazing shots taken by the talented Michel Linssen during this unique session, turned this session into an iconic moment. These images are still being published today around the world.
