Joseph Beuys, 1980/83
Description
Joseph Beuys and Warhol are contemporaries and, although they are not close friends, they share a mutual admiration.
Beuys and Warhol met for the first time in Duesseldorf, 1979, where the nortern artist was living. Later Beuys arrives in New York for a retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum and meets Warhol at the Factory
Portrait of Beuys by Warhol are shown in world premiere a few months later in Naples, on 1th April 1980, at Lucio Amelio Art Gallery.
