Screenprint with rubber stamp on verso “Center Pompidou-Metz”.
” M-Maybe ” portrays an attractive blonde girl waiting for a man in an unidentified urban setting.
Edition created for the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective “Beyond Pop Art” at the Center Pompidou-Metz based on the original artwork from 1965. Through a selection of over one hundred works the Center Pompidou dedicates the complete retrospective to Roy Lichtenstein in France in 2013, in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago and the Tate Modern in London.
