Description
“The Color Of Money – 001” is a unique artwork signed lower right. Title, date, signature and artist’s rubber stamps on verso.
The artist inspired by the masters of Pop Art reinterprets icons and symbols of our time in an ironic and contemporary key.
Apparently simple but extremely effective and communicable works investigate the contemporary consumer society, dominated by power, appearances and ostentation.
From this thought comes the choice to paint money: banknotes and credit cards enlarged or repeated, that want to smile at the consumer society system, and in the obsessive logic of making money. He has a strong charge of irony and he uses the iconographic sources of the american Pop Art’s precursors.
